What do you think about this spoiler. Katherine continues to live her life as “Marge” as the holidays approach, allowing her and Murphy continue growing closer. The two of them even plan a special holiday surprise for each other.

Meanwhile, all of Katherine’s loved ones are still mourning her death in Genoa City. Jill and Esther receive a bunch of *** gifts that Katherine arranged to be sent before she died, allowing the two of them to bond. They bond even further when Jill plans a special Christmas celebration for the children at the homeless shelter.

Amber continues to be haunted by her suspicion that Kevin was somehow involved in Katherine’s death. She even has a dream of Kevin being on trial and Katherine coming back from the dead to accuse him of drugging her.

Katherine ends up slipping on the ice outside of Murphy’s house, prompting some of her memories to return. Jeanne Cooper laughs that “she bonked her head and went out, then bonks her head and comes back. I love it.”

Murphy is scared when he finds Kay unconscious on the ice. When she wakes up, she is immediately freaked out by the idea of visiting a doctor. That’s when she remembers her real name. Her memory isn’t all there yet, but she knows that her name isn’t really Marge. She admits to Murphy, “I am Katherine Chancellor.”

Cooper says that Katherine always had the sense that she wasn’t Marge. She never felt as though she belonged at a diner, waiting tables. She always felt like she had another life, outside of Marge’s.

Will Kay return home and continue to recall her life? Jeanne Cooper teases: “There are some more twists in this storyline. St. Maria really knows how to weave that tapestry together and find all the beats in a story. There are some delicious things coming up! It’s about to get really interesting.”

Brad and Sharon spend New Year’s Eve together and share a tender moment.
Next week (12/22/08) Nikki and Victor discuss the management of their children’s trust funds. They actually manage to have a civil conversation and a positive moment as Nikki shows Victor pictures from Summer’s birthday party. Then Nikki asks Victor what happened in Mexico and Victor goes ballistics. According to co-head writer Hogan Sheffield one of the reasons Victor is furious with Nikki is that since she was in Mexico she is a reminder to him of what went down in Mexico. According to Sheffield Nikki is Victor’s “conscience” about what happened in Mexico.

The bartender from the bar in Mexico and his daughter visit Victor in jail and the bartender whispers to Victor “your secret is safe with me.” According to Sheffield what the bartender and his daughter know are “little parts of the big picture which if put together by the authorities could make Victor look like a premeditated murderer.”

When Victor sees Adam in jail Adam offers Victor a deal. He will turn on Jack if Victor sees that the charges are dropped against him. Victor tells Adam that he wants to see him go to jail and won’t agree to the deal.

When Victor is released on bail he is surprised to find Ashley at the ranch and she tellls him she has moved in. Victor wants to tell Ashley what happened in Mexico but she refuses to listen to everything he wants to tell her. Her attitude is that she knows what happened but does not need to know all the details. After Ashley walks away Victor has flashbacks to what happened in Mexico. According to Sheffield what we learn about events in Mexico is “surprisng.”

Paul returns from Mexico and tells Heather he found evidence against Adam. Paul wants to discuss with Nikki their relationship and asks her to define the relationship.

There is a picture of Nikki and Paul in one of the soap magazines when the spoilers for 2009 are previewed. But the spoilers don’t say much about Nikki and Paul’s relationship except to report that things become serious between them. As for Victor’s relationship with Ashley his attempts to destroy Jack could have a detrimental impact on their relationship though in the beginning of the year Ashley’s commitment to Victor does not waver.

Abby is going to stir up trouble. And there is going to be conflict between her and Victor.

Phyllis is going to continue with her “dirty tricks” to keep Nick away from Sharon. A “surprising twist” shakes up the quad. Nick and Sharon are going to have to deal with issues with Noah

The Baldwin/Fisher family will be “turned upside down.” More secrets from Gloria’s past will be revealed.
